The first of what I hope to be many in a series of fanart featuring my favorite characters from the world of Animation. We start out with the primary antagonist of the classic Nicktoon Rugrats Angelica Charlotte Pickles!

Angelica first debuted to the world on August 11th, 1991 in the episode "Tommy's First Birthday". She is often the tormenter to her younger peers Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil. She is frequently seen with her Cynthia doll and her favorite food are cookies.

    -Envisioned by Rugrats Co-Creator Paul Germain, who based her on a childhood bully.

I always did think of her as a spoiled rotten animated version of my cousin Ella! Come to think of it the more I watch Rugrats Episodes leading up to All Grown Up, the more I see Ella in Angelica's behavior! They're both pro's a shooting a bunch of horse manure and they both love to torment the younger kids. Except when Angelica gets out of hand her parents step in and discipline her where as my aunt and uncle coddle the hell out of Ella and let her get away with bloody murder ie cutting her little sister's long beautiful deep chest nut brown hair at the top of the braid and running around with the tail in her hand screaming 'I got your magic now little sister! Now you can't charm the boys into falling in love with you and not me!' That was the last straw and Ella came tumbling down off her pedestal and was shipped off to Military Boarding School for cutting Jamie's hair. She's still resentful of being sent away for what she calls 'an innocent mistake.' saying 'Angelica did it to one of her friends and in the next episode she had long hair again! It should start growing back any minute now!'

Come now, she's not that--Well, yes she can be that bad. But considering how her parents act, Angelica turning out the way she has is natural, with all her behavior coming off as a need for attention from an angry, sad, hurt, & lonely little girl whose parents try to compensate for poor parenting by spoiling their only child & not giving her the one-on-one interaction all children need to have with their parents in their formative years.

With help from Craig Bartlett, who gave her some of Helga's traits (ex: doll Cynthia has Helga's hairstyle & similar dress design, but Angelica herself has some of the tsundere behavior Helga exhibits, especially to Chuckie Finster and Harold Frumpkin in particular, with the portly newcomer being the lovestruck answer to Jonathan & young Chuck being like how her own father, Drew, was like when he was a kid, not to mention the fact that official comics [ [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] & [link] ], episode pictures [ [link] ] & dialog [ [link] ], and even the live stage production [ [link] ] hint at C/A.
